BMW X6 xDrive35i

BMW X6 xDrive35i

It’s got the goods! Sporty low-profile styling, and an engine that truly excites. The BMW X6 xDrive 35i is a superbly satisfying drive. Let the teardrop, racy shape capture your heart. The beautiful design makes the BMW X6 xDrive 35i one of the nicest looking SUV machines running the roads of Australia.

Take the X6 xDrive 35i off-road, and you will enjoy loads of 4×4 traction, a smooth six-speed auto and a quiet progression over undulating and rugged Australian terrain. Ease back into the Beemer’s supportive front seats that are shaped to embrace your body and relax your muscles. Modern transport doesn’t get any better. Optional multi-contour seats which have power adjustments for the side wings, the upper back and the lumbar regions are available. Venture into the rear seats for a little nooky, and you’ll be a little disappointed with the horizontal space – not because the seats aren’t comfy but because there is a superbly designed centre console (with a storage compartment) between the nicely contoured bucket seats. In spite of the sexy, sweeping roof line, headroom is great for tall adults in the back – as is legroom. The BMW X6 xDrive35i has basic controls that are easy to use. Adjusting the cabin’s temperature is done easily via a control panel on the centre stack. You can fine-tune the airflow right down to being able to control how much air is coming out of individual air vents. This is climate control at its very best, and can be achieved by using the iDrive system’s knob and the very readable LCD screen. Like great sounds? No problem. BMW offers sound quality that would make a recording studio rather tame. Selecting radio stations or CD tracks can be done via either the iDrive knob or the steering wheel controls. Satellite navigation comes as a standard feature. And one feature onboard the impressive big Beemer X6 xDrive 35i is the front, and rear, sonar park assist. This makes for very easy parking in busy city streets. Available as an optional extra is the high-tech rear-view camera.

Fancy taking the BMW X6 xDrive 3.5i on a long weekend retreat? You wouldn’t be alone on that idea. I would love to cruise Australian roads in this very well mannered, and very refined, SUV machine. Luggage space is good. The cargo capacity stands at just under 0.73 cubic meters with the split-folding rear seats up and 1.7 cubic meters with them folded down. That makes the “seats up” cargo capacity larger than a Porsche Cayenne.

Engine response and power is stunning. The BMW X6 xDrive 35i has a sweet running twin turbo 3.0 litre engine that puts the boot up many so-called sports cars. With 225 kw of power and 400 Nm of torque, the big Beemer moves very swiftly. A 0-100 km/h sprint of 6.3 seconds is proof enough. A top end speed of well over 230 km/h is achieved in complete confidence and control. Massive levels of grip and refinement make driving the X6 xDrive 35i a wonderful experience.
Superbly built. Superbly refined. Superbly stylish. Make a statement and drive an X6 today. BMW are touting the X6 as not so much an SUV but a “sports activity coupe”.
