BMW X6 xDrive35d

Who hates driving in wild weather? Think driving torrential rain, perhaps ice and snow or even dusty gales. We all know that, in Australia, we often see some pretty bad weather conditions. We need to watch each other’s back when the going gets tough. The all BMW X6 xDrive35d is a mate who’ll watch your back when the road ahead looks rather bleak.

Designed to be solid, safe and fleet footed, X6 xDrive 35d has the best of German design and engineering. If the worst happens, numerous active and passive safety features are on hand to protect you and your loved ones. The sophisticated safety system is made up of fingered sub-systems involving the seatbelt, airbag and steering components. Intelligent design has enabled BMW to use lightning fast electronics to determine the type and severity of an accident in just milliseconds. Appropriate settings are triggered for the right airbags at exactly the correct moment. This ensures that the remaining airbags can protect the occupants in the event of a follow-up collision. If the car were to roll over sideways, a specially developed rollover sensor, which is linked with the Dynamic Stability Control system, triggers the head airbags and seatbelt tensioners. This is just a snippet of what the capable, impressively well engineered, BMW X6 XDrive35d can offer.

What does xDrive mean? xDrive refers to the great four-wheel drive system that is AWD/permanent. The 4wd system, if needs be, can distribute up to 100 per cent of the engine torque to either axle. The engine’s power is focused to the axles via a super-slick six-speed automatic gearbox. On the road the xDrive system works very well. If conditions get a little slippery the X6 makes the necessary adjustments to keep the big X6 paw print firmly in touch with the ground. An impressive feature is the adaptive anti-roll bars which will limit the body roll and the active steering to adjust the amount of assistance and the ratio of the steering rack depending on the vehicle’s velocity. It also controls the dampers, which allows you to select between a Normal and Sport driving position.

A breeze to drive, even Mum will love the trip down to school to pick up the kids. Spend any amount of time in the cabin of an X6 xDrive 35d, and Christmas comes all at once for the kids. The very well equipped BMW has Auxiliary jack points, Sat Nav, keyless entry, a premium sound system, leather, Blue tooth, a television and the list goes on. The whisper quiet cabin means that quirky conversations can be enjoyed by all. Seating is superbly comfortable, and all the usual electrics are all part and parcel of the impressive big Beemer package.

Just 220g/km of CO2 is emitted in this sexy beast. BMW’s twin-turbocharged six-cylinder diesel is an excellent motor. Highly rated, it proves to be the just the right mix for the sleekly slung X6 body. With 210 kW of power, the BMW X6 XDrive35 d. has plenty of pulling power to race up the hills. A massive 580 Nm of torque is developed from as low as 1750rpm, so pulling even the biggest caravan to your holiday destination will be a dog’s breakfast! Creamy power delivery is what makes the BMW X6 xDrive35d so incredibly tasty to drive. Roadholding and, not to mention a higher than average driving position, make the BMW X6 xDrive 35d something very special.

Better handling than a Cayenne, an X6 is an enthusiast’s car. Safe, stylish and practical, the BMW X6 xDrive35d will keep the other half, not to mention the kids, happy too – what ever the weather.
