Mazda 3

The new Mazda 3 is a superb set of wheels that has a great chassis, and loads of style.

Model Update

If you want the best steering and best handling small car on the market, then you better swing by your Mazda showroom to take a look at the latest Mazda 3. You’ll find the Mazda 3 looks nice in the metal, is very modern inside and carries a number of interesting features to keep your friends and family amused.

Blue tooth communications keeps you in touch with a right-up to date hands free unit. Air conditioning (dual-zone climate control in the upper end models), a funky blackout instrument cluster, cruise control, cup holders, an illuminated entry system with delayed fade, a lights-left-on audible warning alarm, a multi information display, scuff plates, cloth or leather trim, and plenty of leg and shoulder room. The seats are split folding for ensuring that a good amount of luggage can be brought onboard, when required. Step into the Mazda 3 SP25, and a sunroof is an optional extra.

Delightfully well balanced, the driver’s amongst you will enjoy how the Mazda 3 can get along. Strong braking combined with a very taut, yet pliable, chassis offers a sporty flavour. There are a number of excellent engines, so try before you buy.

Mazda has done it again. They’ve created a vehicle that is fun to drive but turns heads too! The Mazda 3 is just the vehicle.

A Mazda 3 comes in a variety of models, from a stylish 4-door sedan to a 5-door hatchback to their engagingly exclusive Mazda 3 Neo or the beefed up MPS model. With any model that you choose, you will be getting the quality and engineering that Mazda has built its fine reputation upon. This means you are provided with reliability that is nothing short of first class.

If you enjoy exhilarating performance, then the Mazda 3 SP25 is for you. With a 122 kW 2.5 litre petrol engine, a six speed manual transmission and electronic throttle control topping the Mazda 3 range, you quickly experience superb acceleration, excellent fuel economy, and a very responsive and quiet drive.

Of course, there are a full range of Mazda 3 versions that boast petrol and diesel engines. Many of the Mazda 3 models house the new 108 kW, 2-litre petrol motor. Linked to a very well gated six-speed manual or five-speed automatic there is always a sprightly squirt of acceleration available when needed. The 2.2-litre diesel option is brilliant. The combination of performance, refinement and economy is hard to beat. A combined fuel economy figure of 5.7 litres/100 km can be expected.

The Mazda 3 is ergonomically designed to put everything exactly where the driver would expect it to be. The steering wheel tilts and the driver’s seat adjusts to 7 different positions. The rear seat-backing is designed for a 60:40 split, allowing you the option of carrying more luggage coming in many different shapes and lengths. Mazda doesn’t stop there either; the glove compartment can comfortably hold a laptop computer while the roomy centre console holds up to 13 CDs. There are cup holders in the front and rear, making the Mazda 3 a very well thought-out design. The interior provides all the knobs and buttons in an ergonomically sound design and the seats are built to reduce fatigue on long drives. Like your sounds? The stereo systems available to Mazda 3 buyers are wide ranging, offering a variety of options based on the owner’s particular tastes. The top of the line stereo sounds almost heavenly. You will enjoy the range of upholstery cloths and interior trims which ensure your Mazda 3 remains funky and up to date. The colours and textures used inside the cabin are very tactile, making the interior a very relaxing place to spend time in.

Safety isn’t compromised because of convenience either. The Mazda 3 has an advanced impact absorption design to ensure all occupants are held in the highest levels of automotive crash safety if the worst scenario occurs. The Mazda 3 range also comes with Dynamic Stability Control and Traction Control as standard.

Starting at around $20,000, the Mazda 3 offers many sedan and hatch models and a variety of options that add the word “fun” back into the meaning of “driving”.
