2021 C-Class Wagon

2021 Mercedes Benz C-Class Wagon

There is usually little need for any modern Mercedes Benz to take a glucoside pill for adding an increase in energy and power.  However, because you buy a station wagon to carry more luggage and people about, Mercedes Benz C-Class Wagons must naturally work a little harder than their sedan or coupe siblings.  Why else would you want a station wagon over a sedan or sports coupe?

New Mercs have an aura about them where you know that you’ve taken residence inside a cabin that is super classy, built tough and works; a cabin that delivers on as much frilly extras as you want, according to the model and option boxes you tick on purchase, and it’s a place that you can sit back and enjoy the ride.

Even though you opt for the 2021 Mercedes Benz Wagon instead of a sedan or coupe, don’t now think that you can’t enjoy a model running on eight big jugs full of glucoside, because you can.  There in the line-up are some high-performance C-Class wagons just for you.  You can drive an AMG C-Class Estate and cause quite the hubbub with your neighbours.  In fact, if you do happen to suffer from constipation, the 2021 AMG performance C-Class Estates might be all the laxative you need to get a move on!

Starting with the quickest on the list is the 2021 Mercedes Benz C 63 S AMG C-Class Wagon, and with this model you have up to 375 kW of power and 700 Nm of torque at your right foot’s disposal.  The 4.0-litre V8 can romp from a standstill to twinkly blue light territory in a mere 4.0 seconds.  The top speed is insane!  This especially quick AWD version is an incredible thrill to drive and makes carrying people and luggage an exciting prospect for all on-board.

At the present time, there are four 2021 Mercedes Benz Wagons available in Australia.  The engine line-up begins with the 150 kW/300 Nm C200 and 190 kW/370 Nm C300 2.0-litre four-cylinders that run on ULP.  Next is the potent 287 kW/520 Nm 3.0-litre six-cylinder AMG C 43 with all-wheel drive.  The other engine is the afore mentioned V8 that sits under the hood of the C 63 S AMG C-Class Wagon.

Another rather likable characteristic that the C-Class Wagon has is that the C200 and C300 both run with RWD and a 9-speed automatic; the two quicks boast AWD.  This gives the 2021 C-Class Wagon a lovely ride quality, decent handling and better towing capability (750 kg unbraked and 1800 kg braked) than a FWD alternative.

The Mercedes Benz C-Class is recognised for its quality, comfort, passenger space and refinement, along with its huge range of performance options.  Having that extra load carrying ability does make the C-Class Wagon that little bit more practical for the family-minded exec.  The C-Class Estate offers 490 litres of space with the rear seats up and in place.  To compare this space with the C-Class Wagon’s main rivals, the Audi A4 Avant has the same 490 litres, while the BMW 3 Series Touring has 5 litres more.

Mercedes Benz safety wins big, and you almost feel indestructible sitting inside a well-designed, well built new Merc.  There is so much safety kit placed in and around you to detect, avoid, protect and cushion you in any emergency situation.  Let’s say that driving a new Mercedes is like having an ever-present bodyguard.

2021 Mercedes Benz C-Class cabins are comfortable and well-equipped.  Even on the base models, things like ambient lighting, 2-zone climate control, active cruise control, cup holders front and rear, illuminated vanity mirrors, keyless start with a key/fob that is proximity related, map/reading lamps, a pollen filter, a starter button, decent storage compartments, GPS, a digital dash, Bluetooth, DAB+ radio, and a powered tailgate are on the standard list.  You do feel that you’re driving a premium brand, for sure.

A 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, with its ultra-refined range of sedans, wagons, two-door coupes and convertibles, still remains a big German luxury brand that is bought in decent numbers around the globe.  Only the Mercedes Benz A-Class sedan and hatchback, and the GLC SUV sells more units for the German marque.  A C-Class that has been well looked after from new has excellent longevity.  Buy new, and you’ll enjoy a 5-year unlimited km warranty and 5-year roadside assist as a backup.
