2021 Jaguar F-PACE

2021 Jaguar F-PACE

Models for the big 2021 Jaguar F-PACE kick off with the P250 R-Dynamic S, which you can buy new for around $80k.  The prices go upwards from there, with six models available in Australia and all of which have some of the best luxury interiors in the sports/luxury SUV world.  The quickest F Pace is the SVR – so scintillatingly quick and enjoyable to drive.

Doesn’t it look fantastic!  I can’t think of a better-looking sports/luxury SUV on the market.  It’s stylish, sporty and elegant all at the same time; and it’s a large SUV for crying out loud!  Not a coupe or roadster.  Not only is it beautiful to look at, it is also practical.  You’ll easily seat five adults in this one and you also have 600 litres of boot space behind the back seats.  Even with the optional glass roof you have plenty of headroom for tall timber.

2021 Jaguar F-PACE

All of the new 2021 Jaguar F PACE SUV models are AWD and all come with an 8-speed sports-automatic gearbox.  A five-star ANCAP safety rating ensures that you are in safe hands while out on the road.  All models come with at least six airbags, ABS (Antilock Brakes), Brake Assist, Electronic Stability, Traction Control, Collision avoidance systems, Blind Spot monitoring, front and side and rear cameras, pedestrian detection and braking, Cross Traffic, Driver Attention Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Parking Assistance, a Side Door Exit Warning system, Hill Descent, Hill Holding control, Launch Control and Trailer Sway mitigation.  Automatic headlights with electric level adjustment, High Beam Auto Dipping, LED headlights with a see me home function and cleaning system also feature as standard.  A Speed Limiter, Speed Zone Reminder with Road Sign Recognition, a Trip Computer and Tyre Pressure Sensors are some other goodies.

Even the base models are very well-equipped cars and offer features like GPS (Satellite Navigation), an electric tailgate, Aux Input USB Socket, Input for iPod, Internet Connectivity via Sim Preparation, a Wireless Hotspot, Bluetooth, a Multi-function Control Screen, a Digital Radio Receiver (DAB+) and 11-13 speakers.  Some other features standard on all the 2021 Jaguar F PACE models are: Ambient Lighting, Cargo Tie Down Hooks and Rings, 2-Zone Climate Control, Cup Holders – 1st Row, Cup Holders – 2nd Row, Distance Control, Floor Mats, Keyless Start – Key/FOB Proximity related, Low Speed Offroad (Brake & Accel), Map/Reading Lamps – for 1st Row, Map/Reading Lamps – for 2nd Row, a Starter Button, a Storage Compartment – Centre Console 1st Row, a Sunglasses Holder, Vanity Mirror for Driver, Vanity Mirror for Passenger and Voice Recognition.

Back seat passengers will enjoy their space.  It is roomy and comes with a panel hosting a 12V socket and 2 USB points – enough for charging three phones all at once!  Cup holders are there, electric windows and even their own zoned climate air conditioning.

The 2021 Jaguar F-PACE has 600 litres of boot space with the rear seats up.

If the basic luxury packages aren’t quite doing it for you, then Jaguar provide an extensive option list that is sure to cater to you tastes.  Option packages for audio, seating functions, seat heating, upholstery upgrades and alloy wheel designs are some of the areas you can individualize your Jag yourself.

The P250 engine is a strong engine with all the power that most people will ever need.  Boasting a 2.0-litre Turbo motor with VVT and DOHC technology it is no slouch.  The 95ULP motor puts out a maximum of 184 kW at 5500 rpm and lusty torque at a maximum of 365 Nm at 4500 rpm.  A top speed of 250 km/h is quick, and the acceleration is very strong – evident in the 0-100 km/h time of 7.3 seconds.  Even the base model is good for towing a 750 kg unbraked trailer or up to 2400 kg braked.

The P400 95ULP engine is a 3.0 litre, 6-cylinder turbocharged-and-supercharged mild hybrid electric vehicle (MHEV) that boasts a leap in power to 294 kW.  Peak torque of 550 Nm is addictive, while the top speed is limited to 250 km/h.  Sprinting from a standstill to 100 km/h takes around 5.5 seconds.

The kingpin F PACE model is the SVR version with a top speed just shy of 290 km/h and a 0-100 km/h sprint time of just 4.0 seconds.

Australia gets one diesel option, and a good one at that.  With as much as 221 kW of power on tap and a wave of 650 Nm of torque to back you up, this is a phenomenally nice diesel SUV to drive, arguably the best on the market in the diesel luxury SUV class leaning towards on-road sports performance.

Owning a new 2021 Jaguar F PACE is an enjoyable proposition.  It is a sporty SUV that delivers a great on-road driving experience.  There are other SUVs I’d go for if off-roading was much more a part of my life, but everything else about the F PACE I just love.
