Ssangyong Stavic People Mover

Ssangyong Stavic People Mover

Moving people from A-to-B couldn’t be easier when you’ve got yourself a vehicle like the brand new Ssangyong Stavic People Mover.  People have a wide range of personalities, and one thing about getting people together on a journey in a confined space is that people are going to talk. You can talk about all sorts of interesting things and pass the time on a long commute or getaway chatting to the people travelling with you.  A world of new Ssangyong Stavic People Movers might even help to solve the problem of traffic congestion around the globe.  Car-pooling in a Stavic would not only be a whole lot of fun, the space inside SSangyong Stavic makes the travelling environment perfect for long group-travel.

Enter into the world of the Ssangyong Stavic People Mover, and the occupants will be impressed with the way the air-conditioning breathes fresh air into the cabin space, the seating is superbly soft and comfortable, and storage compartments throughout the cabin provide ideal space for iPods, phones and makeup collections – not to mention a packet of lollies to share around.  A refreshing interior design uses tasteful materials for upholstery and fascia trimmings.

Strong safety features make the Ssangyong Stavic People Mover an ideal travel companion.  It’s comforting to know that all the usual chassis and braking electronics are there to aid accident avoidance, and the strong MPV structure is boosted by the full array of air-bags at the front of the van.  Perhaps, Ssangyong should look at fitting side curtain airbags the full length of the vehicle.

One of the nice things about the new engine in the Stavic People Mover is that Ssangyong have downsized to a 2.0-litre Diesel from the outgoing 2.7-litre unit.  With the change, brings new technology, excellent torque and superior economy.  Even though the Ssangyong Stavic People Mover weighs in at around 2 Tonnes, the engine quite happily performs all everyday tasks with ease – regardless of slope or legal speed limits.  Keeping up with motorway traffic is a relaxed affair in the Stavic, as the 2.0-litre Diesel has a tremendous 360 Nm of torque available from as low as 1500 rpm.  Efficiency, as mentioned above, is quite superior, with a combined fuel economy figure of around 7.8 litres/100 km to be expected.

Power from the diesel engine is put through to the rear wheels via a smooth five-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission option.  Having the rear-wheel drive set-up makes for nice predictable handling package.  When additional performance is required – say for passing manoeuvres or trailer towing – the engine is crisp and quiet.  Compared with rivals, the Ssangyong Stavic People Mover engine is right up there with the best of them.  Hyundai iMax is a direct competitor.  Hyundai use a 2.5-litre turbo-diesel that puts out 100 kW of peak power and 343 Nm of maximum torque.  Straight away, you should see that the Stavic engine outperforms the iMax.  Ssangyong have rated the Stavic People Mover as boasting a towing capacity of 2000 kg, which really adds to the usefulness of this special vehicle.

To look at, the Ssangyong Stavic People Mover looks quite nice.  I like the friendly nose and modern lines.  Chrome and diamond head-lighting gives the new Ssangyong Stavic a look of luxury and class.  You may have noticed, but the new Stavic People mover has doors that open outward like a sedan rather than sliding doors used on conventional vans.  This adds to the Stavic’s class.  The unique appearance is pleasing and stands out from other people moving machines that run Australian roads.  At over 5.1 metres in length, the Stavic has a large presence – not a bad thing to portray to people who are waiting to board the Stavic.  In fact, the new Stavic is 5130 mm in length, 1915 mm wide and 1815 mm high – just perfect dimensions for housing seven passengers.  A nice long 3000 mm wheelbase is one of the reasons the Stavic rides really nicely over a combination of road surfaces.

Pricing for the Ssangyong Stavic People Mover is outstanding – $10k outstanding from the closest rival – the Hyundai iMax.  You can own the all new Ssangyong People Mover for under $30,000.  This is extremely competitive, making it the best priced people mover on the market.  The SPR model with a few extra luxury items is a little more.  Each new Ssangyong comes with a 3 Year/100,000 km warranty.

The current Ssangyong Stavic People Mover models includes the:

  • Stavic (Manual)
  • Stavic (Auto)
  • Stavic (Auto) SPR
