{"id":512,"date":"2010-10-13T12:44:07","date_gmt":"2010-10-13T02:44:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.privatefleet.com.au\/?p=512"},"modified":"2023-08-18T16:02:34","modified_gmt":"2023-08-18T06:02:34","slug":"sydney-welcomes-concours-delegance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.privatefleet.com.au\/blog\/home\/sydney-welcomes-concours-delegance\/","title":{"rendered":"Sydney Welcomes Concours D&#039;Elegance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The first truly International standard Concours D\u2019Elegance in Sydney took place last week in the magnificent grounds of St Patrick\u2019s Estate in Manly, with the Northern Beaches and Pacific Ocean providing the perfect backdrop for a display of over $100m of exotic cars, fashion, wine tasting and entertainment.<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.privatefleet.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/concours-one.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-513\" title=\"concours one\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.privatefleet.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/concours-one.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"280\" height=\"187\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It kicked off with a cocktail party on the Saturday night for Sydney\u2019s glitterati in the grounds and alongside Bugattis, Rolls Royces, Lagondas and more\u2026and this was just a foretaste of things to come when the public came on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The whole of St Patrick\u2019s Estate was littered with magnificent autos from all over the World, many of them worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and some worth millions!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.privatefleet.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/concours-two.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-514\" title=\"concours two\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.privatefleet.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/concours-two.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"280\" height=\"187\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Over 40 of the very best cars were entered in the Concours D\u2019Elegance contest, and the car of the show was won by an outstanding, very rare and very valuable Hispano Suiza owned by Sydney businessman Jorge Fernandez.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.privatefleet.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/IMG_0713.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-515\" title=\"IMG_0713\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.privatefleet.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/IMG_0713.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"280\" height=\"187\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But the day was not just for car buffs. The crowds were entertained by a Fashion Show from Charlie Brown, music from Glenn Shorrock singing some of his hits from his days with Little River Band, an exhibition of over $1m of jewellery from J.Farren-Price, wine tasting and fine food. Even the motorcycle enthusiast was catered for with a stunning show of motor cycles spanning the last hundred years.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.privatefleet.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/IMG_0539.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-516\" title=\"IMG_0539\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.privatefleet.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/IMG_0539.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"280\" height=\"187\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It truly was a stunning day, never seen in Sydney before, and it was attended by ten lucky prizewinners from our competition last month.
