Slip inside a gorgeous Mercedes-Benz CLK 200, and you will find that you have the best of many aspects in automotive engineering and design.  Being the younger sibling to the magnificent  SL and CL models, this is German engineering and luxury at its finest for you to enjoy in the less expensive and  more compact CLK 200.

Beneath the bonnet is a very responsive 1.8 litre petrol engine developing 120 kW, more than enough grunt for adding a smile to your face. The CLK 200 will easily get from 0-100kph in less than 10 seconds and will cruise on to a top speed of 236 kph!  This is remarkable and you will enjoy this excellent performance without breaking the bank with excessive fuel consumption.  On the open road and in the city, combined, an average fuel consumption figure of 9 litres/100 km is good.  The chassis is so good that the CLK 200 can be whisked through twisting turns and be driven with verve over undulating road surfaces, remaining composed and firmly in the driver's control.   

Inside there are 6 airbags, two front and 2 on each side for the front and rear. There are also 4-way Anti-locking brakes as well as ESP with brake assist. Cruise control is standard as well as tyre pressure sensors, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers and a wide array of radio/CD options. Controls for the cruise contol and audio are located on the multifunction steering wheel.  This puts everything at thumbs-length.  The seats are incredibly stylish and wonderfully comfortable.  Certainly, these are seats that have been designed for one purpose in mind: to pleasure the driver and create comfort and relaxation for those long journeys.  Ergonomically, the cabin instrumentation is close at hand and provides simplistic hand to eye coordination for all occupants. This, of course, makes for a more relaxed journey.
