Five models are available to the new Mercedes Benz M-Class range. Classier and even more desirable, the Mercedes Benz M-Class has new diesel BlueTEC engines, while petrol engines have modern BlueEFFICIENCY management built into their design so that economy is now enhanced all the more. SUV power and efficiency…what a happy automotive blend!
Adventure takes on a new meaning when you tackle the wild in the all new M-Class. Offering a high degree of comfort and all-terrain talent, the complete M-Class package is breathtaking. In Australia conditions can be extreme. In the M-Class, passengers are always pampered, regardless of what the terrain is like or what the weather is doing outside. Comfortable leather seats feel exquisite, and the clever Mercedes Benz air suspension works in unison with the luxurious seats to provide a soft, controlled ride for its occupants – even over rugged terrain.
Onboard the Mercedes Benz M-Class is a tremendous array of high-end features. Depending on exactly which M-Class model you are thinking to buy, there are things like climate air-conditioning, ergonomically formed seats, a Keyless-Go drive authorisation system, Thermatic automatic climate control, a luxury Memory package, a multifunction steering wheel, the massive panoramic sliding sunroof, a standard sliding sunroof, and luxury front seats – heated and ventilated.
For the little ones, long journeys occasionally require a little extra entertainment than Dad’s silly stories or Mum’s favourite belly dance music. With the new Mercedes Benz M-Class there are brilliant audio features that deliver added driving pleasure for all lucky enough to be onboard. Navigation systems work not only to keep Dad and Mum from getting lost; they answer the question “Are we there yet?” quite sufficiently! A rear-seat entertainment system will keep bored kids entertained for hours. High definition screens for the entertainment system are situated at the rear of the front seat head rests. Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround-sound is probably better than a live concert sounds at the Sydney Opera House. Mercedes M-Class offers Media Interface, a COMAND APS multimedia system and even a TV tuner with digital and analogue reception.
Mercedes are claiming the M-Class as being the safest SUV on the road. One glance over the safety list sure backs this statement up. It is a very comprehensive list, indeed.
Road holding for the big SUV is superb. You can really travel swiftly in an M-Class, the vehicle’s grip is very sure footed and the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system detects slippage instantly so as to electronically correct torque levels between wheels front-to-rear and side-to-side. Smooth acceleration is applied via a 7G-TRONIC PLUS seven-speed automatic transmission.
The only vehicles that are capable of matching the M-Class ride would be the Range Rover, BMW X5, Porsche Cayenne and Audi Q7. But I guess you’d already be aware of this. Make sure you test all these big name SUVs before making the final choice. When you’re in this league, you can afford to do so. However, the M-Class magnificence will likely tip the scales in its favour.
For a forward thinking SUV at the top of its game, the new Mercedes Benz M-Class is hard to pass by.
