The Suzuki Jimny comes with a 1.3 litre 4-cylinder 16-valve petrol engine that delivers 63 kW of power. This sparkling engine is run through a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic gearbox. To drive, the Jimny is responsive and very happy to swag along at 100 km/h. If you're intending to use your Jimny for off-road fun, you might like to know that it has a ladder chassis (Yep, a true-blue proper 4X4 chassis that is very robust and strong) and a high and low gearbox. Because of its small size, the Jimny will take you where a lot of the big-boy off-roaders might fear to tread. The Jimny handles the tarmac well, making the vehicle fun to drive quickly through twisting corners.
The interior of the Jimny provides enough head and legroom for the driver and passengers. There is ample room for children in the split rear seat - however, adults might find it a little less roomy, particularly if you eat a few too many sweets and biscuits. The Jimny has electric front windows, mirrors, power steering, central locking and an AM/FM audio system with a CD player. The Jimny's controls are handily available, and the driver and passenger seating allows for very good all-round viewing when looking out the windows. There is also a tilt steering column and optional air conditioning. Airbags are standard items of safety; so too are ABS brakes.
As a capable four-wheel drive vehicle, the Suzuki Jimny has the ability to punch well above its weight. It’s a pretty cool looking vehicle as well! The Suzuki Jimny is the most economical, low running cost 4x4 on the market. It's well worth taking a look at.
