Built for harsh off-road use, the Nissan Patrol can handle just about any terrain.  With victories in numerous off-road rallies, the Patrol delivers the goods. 

Under the bonnet, you'll find a powerful 3.0 litre 4-cylinder intercooled direct-injection turbo-diesel engine which pumps out 118 kW and a maximum torque figure of well over 350 Nm. This engine produces more than enough grunt to pull a good size load without breaking a sweat.  For those who like to run their machines on petrol, you will enjoy the magnificently smooth power delivery of the 4.8 litre 6-cylinder motor.  Linked to a 5-speed auto which uses up to a massive 400Nm of torque to drive the big 4x4, the Nissan Patrol is one of the most capable four-by-fours around. 

A Nissan Patrol can handle towing anything up to 3500 kg with the manual transmission, or 2500 kg with the automatic.  The Patrol's rigid axles are designed for extreme off-road use, but they also provide a smooth ride on the motorway due to the multi-link coil suspension.  With a flick of the wrist, you can engage the powerful 4-wheel drive system and negotiate those tough out-of-the way places.

The Patrol caters to your driving or riding comfort, with ergonomic seating that comes in durable long-lasting rich leather.  The front bucket seats are powered, heated and adjustable to provide maximum comfort.  There is second and third row seating to seat everyone comfortably, and when not in use, these seats fold down, allowing for a greater cargo capacity.  There is an audio system with CD and an optional changer with audio controls that are built into the steering wheel.  The Patrol comes with DVD satellite navigation and a 3D bird view map with voice assistance integrated into a 7 inch colour display which includes mapping.  There is dual climate-control air conditioning and an optional electric tilt/slide sunroof.

Safety features are excellent in the Nissan Patrol, with driver and passenger front and side airbags, seatbelt pretensioners and  load limiters.  The ABS brakes are superb and ensure top-notch stopping power.  There is a switchable stabilizer system, ultrasonic and parametric alarm and selectable 4WD with a dual ratio gearbox.
