"Wow!" is the word that you may say when you take a drive in the breath-taking Mercedes-Benz S500. "Wow!" would also be an understatement of verbal expression when considering the flowing lines of the all new Mercedes Benz S500's exterior. They are simply superb and portray elegance at its finest.
Features like the Radar controlled cruise control that, once set, automatically maintains a distance between you and the car in front. Distronic parking that monitors the clear space around the car and alerts you, via the multifunction display, if you are too close to an object behind or to the side of you when backing up. The Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) monitors the vehicle's wheel speed and slippage. It will adjust each wheel's speed separatly via the ABS braking system. And, if required, the ESP will control the engine's output to ensure that all four wheels remain totally in contact with the road.
The interior will make you wish your drive never ended. The plush leather seats are complemented exquisitely with tasteful wood and metal trim. The driver and passenger front seats are 10-way power adjustable, and they can be heated and self-adjusting to the driving conditions by inflating and deflating the various lumbar supports. The interior of the S500 is also exceptionally quiet and you can listen to the audio system on low without hearing road noise at top highway speeds.
Under the bonnet is the very accomplished and award-winning 5.5 litre V8 motor that will carry you from 0-100 km/h in a mere 5.4 seconds. The 7-speed transmission is used via steering wheel buttons and is adaptive to the driver's style. The steering is very accurate and adaptable, adjusting to the speed of the vehicle.
