Mercedes Benz E350

The Mercedes-Benz E350 luxury sedan is quite a vehicle. With a dual overhead cam 24-valve die-cast alloy V-6 engine block that puts out a powerful 200 kW, the E350 has enough power to handle any demanding driving situation and still return an estimated fuel economy of 20mpg in the city and 29mpg on the open road. That's pretty darn good!

The transmission is an electronically controlled 7-speed automatic transmission that links up to the with rear wheels.  The drive-adaptive transmission  learns how the driver drives and adjusts accordingly.  A feature that is very enjoyable to use is the Touch Shift mechanism which allows the driver to manually down-shift or up-shift by nudging the shift lever left or right from the drive position. There is even a driver-selectable comfort mode that starts the vehicle in second gear or second reverse gear and up-shifts at a lower rpm; this allows improved control on slippery surfaces.

Exterior features include dual heated power mirrors that are linked to the driver's seat memory, duel aero-blade wipers with heated windscreen washer nozzles, driver-selectable headlights which can be set to come on and off automatically without touching the switch and an automatic lamp substitution which uses a nearby lamp if a critical bulb fails.

Interior features include a multifunction steering wheel that handles the audio system and phone, and the operation of the multifunction display.  The steering wheel is also 4-way adjustable (tilt/telescoping) and linked to the driver's seat memory.  The driver's 10 way adjustable seat automatically changes position to the exact settings you left it.  Dual automatic climate control with upper and lower temperature sensors will compensate for the effects of direct sunlight and cabin airflow. There is even an electrostatic dust and pollen filter.

Safety is not compromised on the Mercedes-Benz E350 either.  ABS brakes; front, door and side curtain airbags; and an Electronic Stability programme help to keep you safe and secure.  The speed sensitive steering is weighted beautifully and the copious amounts of grip ensure progress is surefooted, to say the least.
