Powered by a petrol V6 engine which uses powerful electric motors to generate high torque, the Lexus RX 400h has a combined petrol/electric output of 155 kW making the big machine capable of accelerating from 0-100 kph in a little over 7 seconds. Not bad for an SUV!  Bristling with technology, the Lexus RX400h boasts an electronically controlled variable transmission that efficiently distributes the hybrid power for top end performance at all speeds. The electronic power steering helps provide a confident feel on the road, and combined with Regenerative Braking that takes heat energy when the brakes are applied and converts it to electrical energy to help recharge the battery the driver can enjoy knowing that the RX400h, they are driving, is leading other automotive manufacturers in the right direction toward the latest in automotive design.

The inside of the Lexus RX 400h is tastefully accented with brushed aluminum and electroluminescent gauges. There is a voice activated navigation system, auto dimming mirrors, satellite radio, Bluetooth systems and a top end stereo system that is awe inspiring.  One of the interesting internal features is the 40/20/40 split rear seat, which slides forward and backward for greater versatility.
