Inside the Kia Rondo, occupants can enjoy the optional 10" LCD, DVD entertainment system, and the AM/FM/CD audio system with an auxiliary port that comes as standard. Crystal clear musical tones can be heard through either the 4 speaker unit in the base model or through the impressive 6 speaker system higher up the pecking order - which includes door-mounted tweeters. Above the base model Kia Rondo, you will have, as standard, a few more niceties such as steering wheel audio controls, cruise control and air conditioning. However, powered windows make easy access to the outside world in all models and, whichever model is decided upon, central locking is also standard. Inside the Kia Rondo, the centre console has a storage box with dual front cup-holders and a cargo under-floor storage compartment which passengers will enjoy having to put all their bits and pieces into before the journey’s outset.

 

What powers the Kia Rondo? The answer is one of two energetic and lively power plants. You will find that the Kia Rondo LX, EX and EX-L models are equipped with a 2.0 litre in-line 4-cylinder petrol engine that boasts 16-valve DOHC Continuous Variable Valve Timing technology. In this form, the Kia Rondo pumps out a very entertaining 106 kW. Good fuel economy via a smooth operating 4 speed automatic transmission, is very respectable - considering the amount of luggage and seating available in the roomy Kia Rondo. Some countries have EX-V6 and EX-V6 Luxury models which have the very impressive 2.7 litre V6 24-valve DOHC with Continuous Variable Valve Timing technology.  Out of this smooth engine squirts a refined 136 kW at 6000 rpm. The electronic five speed automatic transmission performs manfully (no insult to the power and prestige of women, of course) with heavily laden journeys, and has fuel economy figures that reveal 24 mpg in the city and 36 mpg in the country.
