Hyundai Grandeur

One thing the modern Hyundai car manufacturer has learned to perfect is the art of creating stunning car designs. Hyundai has successfully fashioned the Hyundai Grandeur sedan to look unique and utterly gorgeous to the human eye. The sleek, low -slung roofline, and the sharp looking headlight and grille arrangement capture a look of superiority and stealth. The very suave tail lights and twin exhausts complete the package beautifully. The high lip boot is reminiscent of the BMW seven series.

Available in two guises, the Hyundai Grandeur comes as the Grandeur V6 and the Grandeur Limited. No prizes for what the word Limited might suggest. Obviously, it points to the added bells and whistles found inside the Hyundai Grandeur Limited compared to the V6.

Inside the Hyundai Grandeur V6, there is a real sense of quality in the craftsmanship. Luxurious touches are evident all through the highly appointed interior. The sensual interior boasts premium leather seats that are oh-so-sumptuous and comfortable, while providing wonderful legroom front and rear. There is a dual zone climate control unit that keeps the cabin temperature as balanced as the fine ride that the Grandeur offers. The in dash 6-stack CD player system that has eight high out-put speakers is simply orchestral. And the cruise control adds to the overall relaxed yet swift progress of any high speed motorway work. Getting comfy is not hard, especially in the front seats. The driver seat is a ten way adjustable seat so the driving position is second to none. Let's just add the word Limited in for fun?ahh yes: the impressive list just keeps on growing. Let's have a power driven rear sunshade; heated external door mirrors; an integrated memory system that controls the seats, mirrors and steering wheel, and heated driver and front passenger seats to name a few more bells and whistles that are available in the Limited Grandeur variant.

Ignite the engine and the adjectives smooth, refined, and lusty come to mind when listening to the quiet low burbling of the 3.8 litre V6. Power is instant and can be as much as 194 kW at a silky smooth 6000 rpm, and overtaking manoeuvres are a breeze on the way to those ever so important board meetings with 348 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm.

Safety is off the top shelf for both models, with active safety features boasting a full house of ABS, ESP, EBD, and TCS. Seat belt warning lights are triggered when a seatbelt has not appropriately been fastened. Eight airbags are ready to function in the event of a collision, including curtain airbags for the rear passenger seats. This gives an added sense of security in the already impressively solid Hyundai Grandeur.

The ride is nice and balanced between tautness and comfort, and there is loads of grip in cornering or heavy braking.

There is not much else to add to the Hyundai Grandeur's praises. This is one fine car and the world is well down the track of accepting the Hyundai brand as one of the best luxury car packages available. This one's great.
