There is nothing that gives a sense of freedom and exhilaration like feeling the wind blowing in your face and hair. A walk on a windy day gives something of this feeling, but the pleasure is cubed when you "take the sun and air" (to use an old-fashioned phrase) from the driver's or passenger's seat of a convertible such as the BMW 325Ci.
The BMW 325Ci is certainly a classy convertible just begging to be driven on a sunny day. Its silhouette is dynamic and faintly curvilinear. From the side, the BMW 325i teases the eye: is it wedge shaped or not? No matter how you answer this question, the BMW 325i combines sporty style with tailored sophistication, top up and top down.
Fire up the BMW 325Ci's engine and the 184 horses under the bonnet will start pawing the ground ready for action. Capable of galloping from 0-100 km/hr in under seven seconds, the BMW 325Ci will get your heart racing - although to experience the top speed of around 240 km/hr, a track day might be in order. Lower the top with the touch of a button (assuming it's not pouring with rain) and you're ready to hit the open road (where, incidentally, the BMW 325Ci can return 26 miles to the gallon).
You'll be safe and sound, thanks to all the safety features that BMW has equipped the 325Ci with. Chief among these - and most important in a convertible - is the rollover protection system. This is enhanced by 4-wheel ABS brakes and the dynamic stability control, which comes with brake assist and traction control. The BMW 325Ci responds well to the speed sensitive steering and handles crisply. You'll find airbags everywhere you need them: dual front and side, with occupancy sensors. And power adjustable front head restraints do their bit to ensure you're protected from whiplash if you're unlucky enough to crash.
If you wish to do more than drive and enjoy the open air, then you will be well catered for inside the BMW 325Ci convertible. Let's face it: we don't drive through sunny countryside everyday, and we sometimes get stuck in traffic, driving home from work. In this situation, you will appreciate the automatic temperature control to keep you cosy, and the single CD/radio stereo system that keeps you informed and entertained. The bucket seats inside the BMW 325Ci are very comfortable, with a memory seat for the driver, seatbelt memory and a retractable armrest (and you can also adjust the steering wheel to suit yourself, as it's tilt and telescopically adjustable). The cupholders are a handy place to put your morning coffee. And if you are driving on a boiling hot day and need to escape the sun's rays, then the air conditioning is ready to keep you cool. The wood inserts on dashboard, door and console are tasteful and easy on the eye, and the leather steering wheel is a pleasure to hold. The BMW 325Ci has seating for up to four people (and I'll bet you'll have no problem filling these seats if you car-pool).
The BMW 325Ci is fun to drive, whether you use it about-town, or keep it for pure pleasure (lucky you).
